A Commitment to Loving God
We value a heart that is passionate and desires to honor God (Mark 12:30). We believe that
this can be seen by who we are and what we do. Therefore, we will place great value on seeking God’s presence and His passions, and on obediently surrendering to His will.
A Commitment to Loving People
We value a caring heart for all people (Mark 12:31). We believe that this compassion will
be seen in generosity, encouragement, forgiveness, and in living in peace with one another. Therefore we will train and empower our people through hospitality, inclusion, and by being instruments of love to our neighbors, our community and our world.
A Commitment to Personal Transformation
We value a heart that seeks God’s transforming power with a passion to know Christ and become like Him (Phil. 3:7-10). We believe that this will be witnessed by a spirit that is teachable, humble and accountable to one another. Therefore, we will encourage daily personal renewal and sensitivity to God’s spirit that corresponds to practical everyday situations.
A Commitment to Humble Servant-hood
We value humility of heart that is lived out in serving others (Phil 2:3-4). We believe that
this quality is evidenced by exhibiting God’s goodness through deeds that build up and serve one another. Therefore, we will pursue a church culture characterized by selflessly building others up.
A Commitment to Integrity
We value honesty with God and with one another (Eph. 4:22-25). We believe in being transparent, genuine, sincere, and in keeping our word and our promises. Therefore, we are committed to being fair, to treating others with impartiality, and without playing favorites.
A Commitment to Partnership
We value a heart for team ministry, reflecting our common life in Christ (I Co. 12:11-12).
We believe that in coming together in partnership we better honor God and serve His common good. Therefore, we desire to find creative ways to work together and share God’s resources within our circles of influence. |
