What do you think of when you hear the word Partnership? Do you think of a company that has several co-owners? Do you think of sports teams? How about a husband and wife? Have you even stopped to think about how much our lives revolve around the word Partnership?
At our places of work we are constantly partnering with the people we work with! In our homes we try to partner with our kids! Our best friends are people with whom we've developed a partnership.
In the Bible we see numerous examples of God wanting to partner with people. We could think of Abraham, Isaac, David, Peter, Paul and the disciples as being people whom God partnered with!
The apostle Paul had somewhat of a three-pronged partnership: God, Paul, and the Church. Each time he talks about the churches at Corinth, Thessalonica, Colossae, and Philippi, he mentions partnering with them, either in praying for them or in coming and visiting them. (Phil 1:5, Eph 1:15, Col 1:9)
God wants to partner with each one of us! Are we willing to let Him do that? Are there areas in our lives where we need to let God come in and partner with us? For us as adults, is God an important part of marriage? As parents are we partnering with God in our relationship with our kids? The cool thing about God is that He is always waiting for us to invite Him into our lives!
What areas of your life could use some partnership with God?
